I Saw this a few months ago and just saw it again.
Please click on that link and watch the video!! PLEASE!! this is one of the biggest battles in Australia at the moment. it shouldn't be. Australian politicians should have more important issues to worry about but apparently they don't.
are we going to let the minority make the rules in Australia???? Do you agree with this video??? do you agree with the statement being made??? if you do (this suddenly sounds like one of those chain emails or something) we need to do something!! write to you local member!
the Federal member page is Janelle Saffin and her contact email is
Janelle.saffin.mp@aph.gov.au
Or you can contact Peter Ellem from the Grafton Office
Peter.ellem@aph.gov.au
If you would like to do SOMETHING but don't what to write or don't have time to write it or anything else
comment
or
twitter me
but please don't just do nothing. that is how the minority win.

Stephen Jones. Member of Parliament.
yesterday night I heard that Barack Obama thinks "same sex couples should be allowed to marry." today, roughly fifteen minutes ago actually, I saw this video. For once in my life I actually commend her for something!! despite radio hosts trying to basically make her say that she's broken faith with the Australian public (voters in particular) she just bluntly shuts him up with "well you know, I believe what i believe" in that bland OH-so scripted... no I won't be mean. Good on her for standing up for something right finally!!
To the main subject of this post however. Stephen Jones is the ALP member for Throsby. what's so important about him? (had anybody else other than me never heard of the place Throsby until I looked at his website?) well, it's important because he is the member of parliament who, according to Julia Gillard, will be presenting the Bill calling for the amendment of the Marriage Act to parliament later this year. Again from his website, there is a copy of the bill which I am assuming is the one Jules is talking about. I do not believe that same sex marriage should be made legal in Australia. I believe that same sex marriage is an abomination in the eyes of the Lord. In Romans chapter 1 from verse 22 Paul writes, "Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet."
In Leviticus chapter 18 verse 22 God says, "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination." In the next verse He goes on to say, "Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion." Now, we still agree with the second verse. why have we changed our views as to the first?? doesn't evolution say that we are only animals ourselves? then what's the difference between a guy getting together with another guy and guy getting together with an animal?? Is that where this country is heading?
I am aware of other people's views on this subject. I'm not some brainwashed religious kid. I am aware that some people are "born unhappy with their gender." Not ever having had that feeling I wouldn't be able to state whether they do or not but I am prepared to state that however Satan twists our thinking, it is NOT how God originally made man (man being the generic term for humankind.) If anybody disagrees with me, or thinks I don't have enough evidence for my beliefs I am happy to do a more complete, much longer blog about the issue of same sex marriage and why I believe it shouldn't be made legal in Australia.
Just by the way, I do NOT believe that people who call themselves Bisexual or Homosexual or Lesbian are evil people who should be shunned and looked down on as though they have leprosy or something. PEOPLE ARE STILL PEOPLE AND SHOULD BE TREATED LIKE IT. I do believe that their lifestyle is sinful but I am not "homophobic" in the sense that I have an insensible hatred towards people with differing sexual tendencies. I am not homophobic! I do believe that their lifestyle is wrong and sinful, yes. I do not "hate" them.

2012 Budget
I could do the whole apology for not blogging in centuries but this is too important and quite seriously I am way to frustrated to bother with that right now. soo....
Extracts and comments on the Budget speech as delivered by our DEAR Treasurer Wayne Swan:
"The four years of surpluses I announce tonight are a powerful endorsement of the strength of our economy, resilience of our people, and success of our policies.
In an uncertain and fast-changing world, we walk tall — as a nation confidently living within its means." Two sentences into the budget and he's already talking pure unadulterated Labor RUBBISH. Confidently living within it's means??? And over it's whole miserable time in government Labor has run up HOW many BILLIONS of dollars in debt??? I think it was $143.335 Billion last time I checked.
"Madam Deputy Speaker, since this Government came to office we have stared down a global financial crisis" yeah sure but it wasn't thanks to YOUR government! it was thanks to the foresight and surplus left by John Howard.
"Surpluses built on some difficult savings, which avoid vulnerable Australians and frontline services" they just involve cutting defense spending by $971 Million in this year ahead.
THIS IS WHY POLITICS IS IMPORTANT!! people do not know any better!!! they are being fed this utter trash from Labor and believing it because they have never cared enough to learn any better!! Labor is feeding of Australia's ignorance and growing!! For crying out loud when are we going to wake up???
this is the kind of stuff I yell about at school this is the kind of stuff that EVERYBODY laughs at me for getting worked up about (yes I know that didn't make sense) BUT IS THERE NOT SOMEBODY OUT THERE WHO GIVES A STUFF ABOUT WHAT THE LABOR PARTY IS DOING TO OUR COUNTRY???!!! If I was the swearing type (Which I in NO way am, I would be swearing now.) PEOPLE'S APATHY IS COMPLETELY PATHETIC!!! I CANNOT DESCRIBE HOW IMPORTANT THIS IS AND HOW MUCH IT KILLS ME TO SEE PEOPLE COMPLETELY IGNORING IT. THEY ARE RECKING OUR COUNTRY AND NO ONE CARES!! FOR PETE'S SAKE PEOPLE!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH TAKING SOME SORT OF INTEREST, EVEN HAVING SOME SORT OF BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF OUR OWN GOVERNMENT??! *sigh* It's a wonder I don't have high blood pressure...

carbon tax
"The Australian Government is investing more than $5 billion in developing and commercialising clean energy technologies because we know these technologies will be crucial for Australia’s efforts to reduce its carbon pollution emissions. These technologies will also be important to the rest of the world as they also need to reduce their carbon pollution. Australia has set a Renewable Energy Target of 20 per cent by 2020. This means that by 2020, one-fifth of Australia’s electricity will come from renewable sources such as wind, solar and geothermal power"
http://www.climatechange.gov.au/government/reduce.aspx
One question Julia, what happens if there's a cloudy windless spell?
we have a solar hot water system. Apart from living in constant fear that me or my brother are going to hit the solar tubes with a tennis ball or something its pretty alright. but if we get a couple of cloudy/rainy days, or even one; we need to turn the electricity on so we can still have hot showers. what will happen when massive chunks of the country relies on solar or wind?
did she say one fifth??? we contribute something like 1.4% to the general carbon footprint don't we? so if we cut down by one fifth..... (I'm sorry I never was much good at maths) how much does that improve the general environment by? as my father very truly said, "ten percent of one fifth of stuff all."
and remember, Julia Gillard is socialist. i.e. she wants to control people (its like a milder version of communism basically). A carbon tax helps her to control people. She wants to buy a new car? ah, no problem mate! just raise the carbon tax a bit higher.
another problem: all of these grand ideas like using renewable energy, need Government support and Government (taxpayers) money other wise they fall apart. It has been tried before. In one article I read, she talked about investing more than $5 billion in developing and commercialising clean energy technologies and two paragraphs down she talk about investing $4.5 billion to help Australia natural resources to create a cleaner energy supply and to reduce our carbon pollution emissions. how much more of our money is it gonna take???
If she's that worried about the earth blowing up from global warming or overheating from the blanket of carbon or whatever the trendy thing is, why doesn't she just go back the Bible? Gen 8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
God has the whole world in his hand. He created it and he can keep it for as long as he wants it. no human can overcome God no matter how much carbon emissions they make.
hope everybody has a blessed weekend :)

P.S back to school next week! :D

I'm still alive!
greetings everybody!! :D
how is everyone? what's been happening in your world?
My world has been pretty busy (hence the lack of blog posts) buuut it is Friday night and that means I can sleep in tomorrow so despite my freezing hands I thought I would sit down and ramble on for a while :)
so I'm sure there's better things to write about than these but I'm too cold to think of them right now soooo, here are some "Friday Facts" I got in an email from Liberal HQ :D
Hope you all have a wonderful long weekend! I'm planning on doing school work for most of mine :P

so I'm sure there's better things to write about than these but I'm too cold to think of them right now soooo, here are some "Friday Facts" I got in an email from Liberal HQ :D
- Labor is borrowing $135 million every day.
- Net government debt will climb to a record $107 billion in 2011/12. That’s more than $4700 for every Australian
- By 2014/15 Labor will be spending $7.5 billion a year or around $20 million a day on interest payments.
- The 2010/11 budget deficit has soared to $49.4 billion – the second largest since WWII and $8.6 billion worse than forecast in last year’s Budget.
- Labor’s Budget hits Australian families and businesses with $6 billion in new and higher taxes.
- The Budget strips $2 billion from families by freezing for three years the indexation of key family payments and income thresholds. All families receiving Family Tax Benefits will have some benefits stripped from them.
- At the same time, the cost of offshore asylum seeker management has blown out by a further $1.75 billion, while Labor is cutting $2.7 billion from Australia’s defence budget.
- Instead of ending the uncertainty surrounding Labor’s Carbon Tax, the Budget fails to give details on how it will impact living costs and jobs. But it does provide $13.7 million for a taxpayer-funded advertising campaign to sell Labor’s new tax.
The Queen's riddle
Julia Gillard met with the Queen in England . She asked her, "Your
Majesty, how do you run such an efficient government? Are there any
Tips you can give to me?"
"Well," said the Queen, "the most important thing is to surround yourself with intelligent people."
Julia frowned, and then asked, "But how do I know the people around me
Are really intelligent?"
The Queen took a sip of tea. "Oh, that's easy; you just ask them to
Answer an intelligent riddle."
The Queen pushed a button on her intercom. "Please send David Cameron
In here, would you?"
David Cameron walked into the room and said, "Yes, Your Majesty?"
The Queen smiled and said, "Answer me this please, David, your mother
And father have a child. It is not your brother and it is not your
Sister. Who is it?"
Without pausing for a moment, David Cameron answered, "That would be me."
"Yes! Very good," said the Queen.
Julia went back home to Australia and asked Wayne Swan, her Deputy
Prime Minister the same question.
" Wayne , answer this for me. Your mother and your father have a child.
It's not your brother and it's not your sister. Who is it?"
"I'm not sure," said Wayne . "Let me get back to you on that one." He
Went to his advisors and asked every one, but none could give him an
Answer.
Finally, he ended up in the men's room and recognized Tony Abbott's
Shoes in the next stall.
Wayne asked, "Tony, can you answer this for me? Your mother and Father
Have a child and it's not your brother or your sister. Who is it?"
Tony yelled back, "That's easy, it's me!"
Wayne smiled, and said, "Thanks!" Then, he went back to speak with Julia.
"Say, I did some research and I have the answer to that riddle. It's
Tony Abbott"
Julia got up, stomped over to Swan, and angrily yelled into his face,
"No, You idiot! It's the English Prime Minister, David Cameron!"
AND THAT, MY FRIENDS, IS PRECISELY WHAT'S GOING ON WITH OUR FEDERAL
GOVERNMENT IN CANBERRA ...

WILLIAM AND KATE'S WEDDING!
THEY WERE SO BEAUTIFUL!!!
ok, I am going to take ten deep breaths and try to write this sensibly......
so I watched the last bit of the royal wedding tonight, I got to see the good bits and I got see them on the balcony thing. (honestly, I would so love to see that place!!! Imagine standing on the balcony, I mean THE balcony of Buckingham Palace! wouldn't that be amazing?) anyway getting back to the wedding....
first of all, I am really glad they are actually married!! Because I'm hoping that Kate will put a bit of "commoner" into the royal family, (although Prince William is really nice all on his own) and she was so nice and natural looking and Prince William always looks kind of easily casual. I didn't really like the waving bit, they kind of looked a bit dumb just standing there waving. but I really did LOVE Kate's reaction when they first walked out! "oh wow!"
just as a side note, did anybody see that white police horse that didn't want to be docile? :D
I really really hope and pray that they will be truly happy with each other and God will bless them both, especially William because he has to be king!
just imagine if they don't really love each other and they end up being unhappily married for the rest of their lives? or getting a divorce? that really would be good news for all those Monarchy haters. maybe I sound like a worrier but just look at Charles and darling Camilla!
anyway I love them both (especially William) and I reeally do hope they are happy and they do everything well and they stay married and they have lots of humour to take them through the tough times and media and everything goes really well for them.
Love Rachael
this post is not remotely connected to politics but I just had to blog about Prince William's wedding :D

holidays :)
So this Holidays haven't really been holidays for me so I haven't been able to do the fifty thousand blogs I was hoping to get done. in fact I haven't got an political stuff to talk about at all. expect the usual local stuff which is probably pretty boring.
actually, Wait wait!! yes I have news!! its not terribly exciting maybe but still, there's this article in the Australian about Labor's youth vote dropping dramatically and the Coalition's youth vote going up. so far so good. the not good side of it is that all Labor's youthful supporters are joining the Greens.
Why is that bad? It's bad because the Greens are "the watermelon party." they make themselves look like an environmental party but they're really not. They are communist and they want to legalise abortion, euthanasia and gay marriage. They also have one seat in the Upper house now. OH OH OH OH OH!!! that's what I was going to blog about!!!
Ok, carrying on from my Little Greens warning/rant. GUESS WHAT :D :D
WE HAVE A LIBERAL PREMIER IN NEW SOUTH WALES!!!! :D :D
and Paul Green was elected to the upper house.
That is, the most exciting thing that has happened to me in... a couple of months anyway. Christian Democratic Party now has two people in the upper house, Paul Green and Fred Nile. God hasn't forsaken NSW yet.
So I am now going to go to bed, everybody have a great week of holidays and those of you who have another two weeks..... I am not jealous in the slightest (no really I'm not) YOU ARE SUCH SLACKERS!!

I feel smart!!
maybe I should have known this but I only got it figured it out today. soo... *takes deep breath*
Paul Green isn't standing for the senate at all. he's standing for the legislative counsil and Bethany Camac isn't standing as his local representative thingy she's standing as a local candidate for the legislative assembly!!!
what all that means is, the legislative assembly proposes the bills and the legislative counsil passes or rejects the bill.
AREN'T I CLEVER??? :D ok so I'm not really but that's pretty cool right???
so here's a bit about Beth and umm..... just forget about what I said about the picture. I hate my computer sometime.
A few policies:
If elected, Bethany will fight to:-
1) Support the interests of small business and industry.
2) Tackle the challenge of youth unemployment.
3) Resist damming or diversion of the Clarence River.
4) Fast-track the building of a second bridge over the Clarence River.
5) Get a full-time community legal centre in Grafton.
basic bio:
"Bethany was born and raised in the Northern Rivers before moving to Sydney for further studies and work. She returned to “home turf” in 2005, and since 2009 has been Human Resources Manager for one of the Clarence Valley’s largest employers. Every day, she experiences the issues facing local businesses and primary industry in this region.
hope y'all have a wonderful weekend.

Election
ok so I really should be doing homework but I just looked at this blog for the first time and they posted about my blog (!!!!!!!) and its things like that and friends that say really encouraging things to me, that keep me wanting to go to uni to study political science and journalism so I can become a politician (and have political journalism to fall back on if I want to) and stand up for Christ. And hopefully become known as one of the few politicians that actually keep their promises.
So I'm going to do a real quick post about my favorite topic of conversation right now. THE STATE ELECTION!!!! this is a really importnat election for the Christian Democratic party because (basically) if this guy called Paul Green doesn't get elected to the senate. the Greens will hold the balance of power in the senate. does everybody know what that means? good, I didn't think so. (my apologies to all those other homeschooling, politics-loving weird people out there) it means that in Australia - the Land of the Holy Spirit - gay marriage will be legalized. abortion will be legalized (in the states where it isn't already) euthanasia will be legalized. this party is NOT all about the environment. they are communist. there's a text in the Bible that says, KJV "righteousness exalteth a nation but sin is the reproach of any people" Labor already owe the Greens for giving Labor their Preferences at the last election.
aaand I need to stop typing cause my mum's home from a farmers meeting with our candidate.
Candidate: there's this really amazing woman called Bethany Camac who is standing as the local candidate for Clarence. she needs lots of prayer and if you are in the Clarence electorate she needs your vote (or your family's if your not old enough to vote) because she belongs to the ONLY party in parliament that upholds Christian values. so please pray for Bethany, pray for Paul Green that he gets elected, and pray for the Coffs Harbour candidate Debra Lions because she has worked really hard and she's had to push through so many walls and stupid people and lack of support and opposition from Satan BUT SHE'S STILL GOING!! and next post in which i shall extoll the virtues of Debra Lions more fully I shall have pictures of both candidates and Paul Green :)
in much tiredness. from the heart,
Rachael :)
thank you to anybody who reads my blog. and I really do mean it.

Random
ok I really want to blog just to let you all know I'm still alive..... but I am too dead tired to blog about something really in depth and I can't think of anything political that can be blogged about quickly.
having just said that, what does everyone think of Julia Gillard's flood levy? for those of you who don't know what that is its basically Julia saying that even though a heap of Australians have already donated millions of dollars toward the flood clean up (all of that money going to the Government mind you. Not the people with mud all through their homes) their donations aren't good enough so she's gonna slap 'em with a tax as well. but that's a slightly biased view of it. just to be fair here is a few bits and pieces from an email I received from her. (don't ask me what I'm doing on her mailing list)
so I think the last sentence is saying something along the lines of, "I've wasted all you taxpayers money but I can't tell you that so I'm going to put a one year tax in place using the floods as an excuse so I can fix up a couple of roads round the place and look good for the media." please pardon my sarcasm tonight, Its been a long week and I'm really tired.
and what does everyone think of this website?
do you agree, disagree, not care, think its partly right?
drop me a comment and I'll get back to you before next year :D
yes this blog is in all different fonts, its just cause I'm clever.
and I promise my next post will be better organised.

"I know Australians will understand some difficult decisions have to be made so I want you to hear about them directly from me. This is my plan for Australia to fight back after the floods and it will be presented to the Parliament this week.
First, we are giving money directly to people who have been hit by the floods. We’ve already helped out half a million Australians with this cash.
Second, we will pay for up to three quarters of the work done by State Governments to rebuild flood-damaged infrastructure – like roads and railways. This is vital for long-term recovery.
And third, I’ve also made some important decisions so we can do all this work and bring the Budget back to surplus on time."
she then craps goes, on a bit about how committed she is to returning the budget to surplus.... blah blah blah.....
"That's why, to fund rebuilding after the floods, I've cut back on many spending programs and also announced a one-off, one year levy starting on 1 July.
The levy is designed to be fair. Sixty per cent of taxpayers will contribute less than $1 extra per week.
Importantly, this levy is completely separate from donations. Donations are helping victims in their time of need. This levy will be helping to rebuild things like roads, bridges and ports.
My plan is in the national interest. It is the best way to fight back from the floods."so I think the last sentence is saying something along the lines of, "I've wasted all you taxpayers money but I can't tell you that so I'm going to put a one year tax in place using the floods as an excuse so I can fix up a couple of roads round the place and look good for the media." please pardon my sarcasm tonight, Its been a long week and I'm really tired.

Rudd vs Darcy
ok so this was written back in 2009 when good ol' Kev still had Jules as his faithful deputy Prime Minister. I just thought this was kinda funny. And a pretty big insult to Mr Darcy too!! poor guy :P hope everyone has a good week :)
Article taken from Sydney Morning herald.

Imagine Prime Minister Kevin Rudd emerging dripping wet out of Lake Burley Griffin, channelling Colin Firth's sexy portrayal of Mr Darcy in the BBC series of Pride and Prejudice.
It might be hard to imagine, but in an interview with The Australian Women's Weekly, his wife Therese Rein has likened her courtship with Mr Rudd to Jane Austen's 1813 literary classic.
The pair met in 1976 while studying at the Australian National University in Canberra.
Ms Rein says that Mr Rudd played Mr Darcy to her Elizabeth Bennet.
"We disagreed on everything," Ms Rein told the magazine.
"It was in the best traditions of Jane Austen. Actually, it was very Pride and Prejudice."
The self-made millionaire and mother-of-three says the pair enjoyed much fiery and flirtatious banter before Mr Rudd eventually won her heart.
"We would get into these heated debates about politics, philosophy, films, the meaning of life," she says.
"And, eventually, he asked me out."
The couple were married in 1981.
Ms Rein says life imitated art.
"We came from very different backgrounds and yet we were so very similar," she says.
One wonders if Mr Rudd mentioned "detailed programmatic specificity" while whispering sweet nothings to his university sweetheart.
And no doubt the Mr Darcy reference will prove interesting fodder for parliamentary question time - much has been made by the Opposition about the Prime Minister's alleged arrogance.
sweet dreams, Love Rachel
